Tens of thousands of fans cheered on King Charles and Queen Camilla as they were formally crowned in the streets of London. Everyone present agreed that it was a day they won’t soon forget, including Prince George who served as the ceremony’s Page of Honor and attended the event alongside several of Camilla’s grandchildren, including the twins Gus and Louis.
Gus, Camilla’s grandson, was later revealed to have supposedly been involved in a terrible accident while on vacation, which may have changed several wedding-related circumstances.
The royal scepters were presented to King Charles and Queen Camilla over the previous weekend at Westminster Abbey.
On Saturday, they marched in “The King’s Procession” from Buckingham Palace to Westminster.
King Charles and Queen Camilla had already been crowned Royals when they arrived at Westminster, where 2,000 honorable guests had been invited. The ceremony that followed included several components.

During the Recognition, the Archbishop of Canterbury introduced King Charles to the crowd gathered in the Abbey while standing next to the Coronation Chair.
The Anointing followed next in the ceremony. The King took off his ceremonial robe and sat in the Coronation Chair. A golden curtain was draped over the chair to conceal Charles from the Abbey’s visitors and the cameras.
The monarch was then blessed with holy oil by the Archbishop of Canterbury on his hands, breast, and head. The specific components are unknown, despite the BBC’s report that the oil contains ambergris, orange flowers, roses, jasmine, and cinnamon.
Following his ordination, King Charles was given gifts, including the Sovereign’s Sceptre, which symbolizes mercy and justice. The Royal Orb, which stands for moral and religious authority, and the Sceptre, which symbolizes power.
The Archbishop then gave Charles the St. Edward’s Crown, which he wore on his head. They cried out, “God Save The King,” as trumpets blew throughout the ancient church.
Camilla was then anointed and crowned as the ceremony continued. She was crowned as the first queen consort in almost 90 years.

As they made their way back to Buckingham Palace, King Charles, and Queen Camilla took part in “The Coronation Procession”. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children and Prince William and Princess Kate’s offspring generated a lot of speculation about who else may attend.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, their five-year-old younger brother, were the last participants in the march. Meghan remained in the US with the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while Harry traveled to the coronation.
For the rest of his life, Prince George will cherish his memories of that day. The future king, who had been promoted to the post of page of honor, was second in line for the throne.

It was necessary to hold the royal robes worn by King Charles and Queen Camilla during the ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
In addition to George, there were seven more pages, including Freddy Parker Bowles, Gus, and Louis Lopes, three of Camilla’s grandsons.
The late Lord Great Chamberlain David Cholmondeley’s son, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, is a 62-year-old man. Finally, Ralph Tollemache, 12, is the son of Edward, Charles’ godson, and Nicholas Barclay is the grandson of Camilla’s friend Sarah Troughton.
Prince George and the other Pages of Honor agreed that it was an amazing experience. There was no denying, however, that the coronation was not what Camilla’s grandson Gus Lopes had initially imagined it would be for one of them.
According to several media reports, Gus hurt his right arm while on vacation and was unable to use it.
He was therefore limited to using one arm to perform his duties.
A family friend tells me, “Gus fractured his arm in a bike accident while on vacation.” Eden wrote for the Daily Mail, “The cast has been removed, but he must have it in a sling on the big day.

Even though this situation is far from ideal, Gus can take comfort in the knowledge that his step-grandfather makes him feel fully at ease. Gus and Louis first became close when they were both pretty young.
In Richard Eden’s words, “Should Gus seek inspiration for maintaining his composure throughout Saturday’s march, he need only remember the courage and stoicism of his great-grandfather, Camilla Shand’s father, Bruce Shand, who was awarded two Military Crosses and survived wounds while serving in World War II. The commander of the Blues and Royals and Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, will be present at the Abbey to support Gus.
Camilla’s family has kept in touch with the Royal Family for a very long time. Charles and Camilla’s respective families had just lately spent time together with their respective grandchildren.
The majority of Queen Elizabeth’s descendants are her four children, eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, while Camilla’s family is also considerable despite not garnering as much public attention.
In addition to Charles’ five grandchildren, the now-Queen has five more from her two children, Laura Lopes and Tom Parker Bowles. Tom and Laura were born from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles, which ended in 1995.
Freddy, 13, and Laura, 15, are the names of Tom Parker Bowles’ two children, who he shares with his wife Sara. Harry and Laura Lopes are parents to twin boys Louis and Gus, 13, and a daughter named Eliza, 15.
King Charles has made a concerted effort to establish relationships with his step-grandchildren, much like Camilla has. Six years ago, Camilla talked about the bond between her husband and her grandkids.
When we are in Scotland with my husband, he reads them Harry Potter, Camilla said. He also performs all the voices because he is a skilled impersonator. As they sit, they are enthralled. They claim to adore it.
Before the coronation, Camilla’s grandchildren attended a number of key royal events. The youngest bridesmaid at Prince William and Princess Kate’s 2011 wedding, Eliza, Gus, and Louis joined the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham.
During the wedding of William and Kate, Eliza had her chance to shine. But her younger twin boys at the coronation also got some attention and took part in a historic event.
Queen Camilla has always had a deep affinity for horses, just like Princess Anne. Although she sadly can no longer ride horses, she has found new pastimes that have brought her closer to her grandchildren.
In an interview with British Vogue to commemorate her 75th birthday in July of this year, Camilla admitted that she had become completely fixated with the Wordle game. She also frequently compares her word-guessing abilities with those of her granddaughter Eliza.

She will text me to let me know that she has completed the task in three. Camilla remarked, “And I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today.'” “It is very satisfying when it tells you how brilliant you are.”
Camilla mentioned how much she loves getting texts from her five grandchildren. Even their grandmother was convinced by them to get her ears pierced.
The act of receiving an SMS is fantastic. We learn things from young children, and they learn things from us. That has always been the way it is, the new Queen stated, adding that she finds it “quite terrifying” that kids have begun to show an interest in clothing and cosmetics.
“You see them coming out with pierced ears, lots of new makeup, funny-colored hair, and stuff.”
Although Camilla has developed into a significant member of the Royal Family—something she most definitely wasn’t when she and Charles initially made their union public—her children haven’t felt the same way.
On Good Morning Britain in 2019, food critic Tom Parker Bowles expressed his sense of exclusion by saying they are “not quite part of the Royal Family, to be honest.”
“My mum was raised there. She’s a part of it. We fit the mold of modern youth. “We’re just on the side,” Camilla’s kid added.
But everything could abruptly change. According to ABC royal correspondent Victoria Murphy, Camilla’s family changed course following the coronation.
“Camilla’s family are very much front and center at this event, and that is interesting because this is a state occasion, and they are usually totally private,” she observed.
I believe it helps to emphasize how important Camilla is to Charles’ reign and serves as a reminder that this is their Coronation, not just his, and that Camilla’s family is so visible and involved.
Before Camilla made the decision to include her grandkids prominently in the coronation, it was questioned. A royal analyst named Kinsey Schofield claims that because so much attention will be paid to Harry and Meghan, their vital role in the coronation may go overlooked.
“I can’t help but wonder if much of the hype surrounding Harry and Meghan’s “will they/won’t they” coronation plans is a diversion from stories like dropping the word “consort” or including Camilla’s grandchildren… but not all of the king’s,” Schofield, who was reading Spare, said.
She stated, “The importance of the Royal Family is in their traditions. Everyone wishes they had certain rites and traditions. When you go too far from those traditions, which many people feel destroys the mystery, you will infuriate and disappoint them.
Schofield believed that even if Camilla’s grandchildren have recently received more publicity, the royal fans watching the coronation wouldn’t be interested in them.
The royal expert continued, “Camilla’s popularity may have risen, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be any interest in her grandchildren.”
Nepo babies do exist, but you might disagree if you take into account the success of Princess Diana’s nieces, Ladies Kitty Spencer, Amelia Spencer, and Eliza Spencer. They all resemble everyone’s favorite Aunt Diana, who is adored by all.
Kinsey Schofield concluded, “I think people have accepted Camilla but definitely don’t adore and appreciate her the way they did Queen Elizabeth or Princess Diana. Camilla also doesn’t appear to care. She is absolutely content with how her life is going right now. She feels satisfied inside.
Please share this information to congratulate King Charles and Queen Camilla on their achievement!
