Since learning she has the polycystic ovarian syndrome, Gracie, the daughter of Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, has experienced an outpouring of love and support.
The descendant of the 1883 celebrity bravely told her followers of her condition on social media.
When reading the script for 1883’s shocking climax, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill started to cry.
I just wanted to share really quickly that I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome),” Gracie wrote in the caption of two photos of herself, one of which showed her in her underwear and the other with stars covering her facial imperfections.
To acquire the correct diagnosis, you would need two of the five PCOS criteria, but I had three.
We made the decision to start taking medication so that my body would function more regularly and so that I could learn how to keep myself and my body healthy as I aged. “During my appointment with my endocrinologist, I learned that may have been a factor in my difficulties with weight,” she stated.
As important as physical health is, mental health goes hand in hand with it, the patient said. “I’m figuring out how to deal with the new blemishes, but I don’t think I would have ever allowed myself to go to a doctor’s appointment like this unless I had taken the right steps toward my mental health,” the patient said.
Gracie’s admirers hailed her for being an inspiration.
“Sending love to everyone going through anything at all, whether it be a similar situation,” Gracie remarked. Mental wellness is very challenging! We can get there despite the distance.
I share my experience in the hope that it will be useful to someone who can relate to my situation. P.S. Thanks to the medication I’m taking, I now have a body that I haven’t had in years—possibly ever. I’m struggling, but I’m trying to love her.
Others gathered at Gracie’s side to thank her for being such an inspiration. The first one said, “Thank you for being you, for sharing your experience, and for being an honest and authentic role model for everyone,” and the second one had the words “Sending love” and two emojis of praying hands.
There were others who applauded her for being “brave” and “beautiful” and thanked her sincerely for sharing her story.
PCOS is “a condition that alters a woman’s hormone balance,” and it also causes baldness and hair growth on the face and body, according to Healthline. Also, it might make chronic health conditions like diabetes and heart disease worse.
