The Roloff family has endured a number of losses since becoming well-known thanks to the reality series Small People, Big World.
The tragedy, in any way, brought the family closer.
When his father Ronald James Roloff passed away at the age of 84 earlier this year, famed actor Matt Roloff gave a heartfelt eulogy.
Matt, 60, paid his late father a moving tribute on Instagram.
“A difficult week for the Roloffs… This evening, my father—whom his ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren refer to as “papa”—died and joined his Lord and Savior in eternal life.He remarked while paying a heartfelt tribute.
“Ron was a wonderful spouse, father, grandpa, and great-grandfather. Many individuals found inspiration in him.
Everyone who met him immediately recognized his people skills! His devotion for Jesus was clear all the time, but especially in his later years.
Matt has written about his father’s passing from chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Matt also suffered the loss of a brother.
Matt didn’t get to say goodbye to his sibling for a very long time after his father passed away.
Josh Roloff died in 1999 at the age of 34.
Doctors noticed that he had major heart and lung problems as a young boy.
Decades after his passing, his family is still carrying on his legacy.
Josh is also mentioned in their book Little Family, Big Values as a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend who was with us for much too little of his short life. Since we all miss and think about you every day, we hope to meet you again in the presence of our Jesus one day.
Amy’s mother passed dead.
Amy, Matt’s ex-wife, unfortunately passed away when she was celebrating her engagement to Chris Marek, her second husband.
She stated in 2019 that “the past two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster.” “At once joyful and depressing. I was overjoyed when Chris proposed to me.
“Very sad since my father told me that my mother was no longer with us a day after my sister told me she had passed away. Her death occurred on the 24th. I cried, my heart hurt, and I was in pain. I wasn’t sure what emotions to expect.
Unless, of course, that was before 2012. Isabel’s brother Tomás Garrenton is unlikely to have ever met Jacob.
Tragically, a train accident claimed the life of Tomás.
Isabel, Jacob’s wife, has promised to properly enlighten her kid about his uncle.
A year ago, she said, “He’ll know everything about you.” Every time I grieved because of you, I used to laugh. Therefore, before you died, you produced some beautiful music. My son, Uncle Tomás, will know a lot about you.
Recently, Isabel’s mother had also gone away.
Toni Garreton, Isabel’s mother, died two years after her brother.
She wrote on social media at the time that “grief is an interesting beast.” The pain can be so intense that you have to slam on the brakes as you’re traveling down a route in your hometown that you’ve been on many occasions with your mother.
“I think at that moment I smelled her perfume. Please watch her chuckle. All of this shows how much I care about her. I was familiar with her. All of her memories came back to me because they were mine to keep. We were impenetrable. And I’ll continue traveling in the same manner as I did with her while missing her every time.
